Hobby Lobby and religious book-seller Mardel Inc., which are owned by the same conservative Christian family, are suing to block part of the federal health care law that requires employee health-care plans to provide insurance coverage for the morning-after pill and similar emergency contraception pills.

Big suprise.

Fat chance anytime soon...

The company was founded by David Green on August 3, 1972, and as of August 2012 the chain has 514 stores in 41 states.

They're big in the SE, not so much up here (aka: Chik-Fil-A).

I think the store's products are over-priced so I won't go there. But I think they are right to take a stand against all the crap that Obamacare will make them do. We haven't seen the worst of that yet.
There are all kinds of creepy things in that Bill. One is that they can take over your bank account.

I've got news for all you anti-Obamacare individuals, if you don't pay your medical bills now they WILL take over your bank account - regardless of how much you have in the bank.

http://www.ehow.com/info_7960400_can-cannot-p...

Obamacare has nothing to do with it.

K jokes aside... I agree with them taking the stand.. I just wish they, Chic fila, etc,, could carry their flags without carrying their religion...

its clear their
religion is the reasoning for their opinions... BUT, carry the morality of the opinion,, not everyone believes..which makes the argument moot to many....dont use "because the bible says" even if that is the core of your moral code..

They don't mind that it covers the pill, IUD, diaphragm or tubal ligation, just abortifacients that kill an unborn child.

BTW, abortifacients are used AFTER inception, they aren't contraceptives.

Many birth control methods prevent a fertilized egg from implantation. From IUDs to Depo-Provera injections. The morning after pill prevents a fertilized egg from implanting as well.

There's no fuckingdifference.

The IUD prevents implantation, Depo-Provera prevents ovulation and fertilization. The two are VERY different; like life and death.

Hobby Lobby doesn't object to contraception, they object to abortion. The Obama administration wants taxpayers to pay for abortion and we object!

Depo prevents implantation of a fertilized egg so does a hormonal IUD and so does the morning after pill.

Plan B works like this:

Temporarily stops the release of an egg from the ovary
Prevents fertilization
Prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus

Its no different than many of the birth control options out there.
