That you would like to share.

Funny, sad, interesting, it doesn't matter.

Share please. I'll go first.

Most of you know I live on a farm. I have horses, barncats, 1 rooster and 1 hen. I named them ( rooster and hen) Romeo and Juliette Cluckabell. I get great enjoyment out of watching them running around freely on my farm.

Two days ago I found Juliette dead,( I know , so sad) she had been sitting on some eggs trying to get them to hatch. Something killed her. On alot of farms where I'm out there are a couple houses on the property. Mine is one of them. There is the main house and a small very cute three room house that my insurance man called either a wash house or a summer kitchen where woman would can their vegetables from their gardens in the summer to keep the mess and the heat out of the kitchen in the main house, or hang their laundry to dry in the winter. My farm is 100 yrs old.

Juliette was hiding back in the corner on the porch of the little house keeping her eggs warm. I keep Little Tikes Toys for the little ones who come here to play with so was was hidden behind them.

I went to look for her and there she was...poor thing, she was a nice chickie. But this happens on the farm and you get use to it.

Now I'm trying to find Romeo another chickie to spend his time with. To have alittle fun with my sons, who already know their mother can be alittle twisted after disposing of Juliette I drawed a chalk outline on the porch of her. Went through the Halloween stuff and found some of that yellow caution tape and taped off the area..lol, I told you I was twisted..lol
When the boys came over I said come here, I'll show you were the homicide took place but you can't touch anything because this is an active crime scene investigation..

My sons walked out to the little house porch took one look and they all busted out laughing say " Mom you're crazy!!!" lol

This is my story, I hoped you liked it!!.:)

I have a wood burning stove,
it gives out great heat;
we burn briquettes in it -
in case some folks don't know,
these are a kind of compressed coal dust
and a few other bits added.
They burn very well.

About a fortnight ago, when at the store
I noticed a new type of briquette
and bought them, the shop assistant
asked me *specifically* to let her know,
when I use them, how they compared to
the usual kind,
I said 'Certainly, I'll be glad to'
she was appreciative.

A few days ago, I went back to the same store around
closing time..
I bought the older kind of briquettes,
a different sales person was on the counter.

I said
'By-the-way, I bought the new brand last week
from your workmate, will you tell her,
I was disappointed in them and they don't compare
at all with the usual kind'

Before I could finish,
she said in a very vexed voice>

|"That's nothing to do with me,
you have no business coming in here complaining,
we have enough to do! no one MADE
you buy the other kind...that was your choice!
We are closing now - GOODBYE!"

I was so shocked I said no more,
and the only reason I went back 'there'
was to keep my promise by
letting the other assistant know.

I could have bought them in a store
far nearer!

LOL

You know it's really a shame that a thread can't be started without ppl being so mean, hateful, and pathic.

I started this thread thinking ppl would share some cool stories and already the loser negative iconers are here lurking like the trash they are.

What a shame...

For all you who have posted, Thank you..:)

Mine I put into rhyme because I like poetry.

A childhood memory

Just a carefree child that’s what I was
Always doing things and wanting to have fun

One particular memory comes to mind
One that takes me back to age 7 at the time

I wasn’t allowed to go to the park
I was spoiled and thought I was smart

I snuck off quietly and went on my own
Looking back, I wouldn’t have, if I had known

It was 5 blocks away and 1 block down
To a place they called “Big run” playground

I was having fun when I saw our postman
Donny was his name, he drove a small van

I ran across the street and spoke to him
Not even thinking, it was just a whim

When I went to go back he yelled at me
But it was too late, the car I didn’t see

Up in the air and onto the hood went this kid
Then onto the ground my body had slid

Scared to death and wanting to go home
But it was off to the hospital I was flown

I have recovered from what happen to me
But it will always live in my memory

Wow, thanks Steev, so sorry that happened.

I can remember when I was little we use to live by some railroad tracks and all the kids would put pennies on the rails so the train would smash them flat, well one time this kid stood to close to the tracks and the train sucked him up against it. He lived but he was in the hospital forever. After that we didn't play by the tracks anymore.

my cousins and I use to jump on trains and ride them to the next town and then jump another to get back. One day the return train didn't show and we got stuck walking back. got in late and got our butts whooped! Stil had the time of our lives!:)

I use to love to watch the trains, around the holidays the homeless ppl who would sneak in the cars would get off when the train slowed down and my mom would always fix them a plate of food and give them alittle cash and then they would be on their way to the next town.

My mom was awesome like that, always helping ppl down on their luck..:)

I miss her..:(

OK, here's mine.....I've said this on here a long time ago, sorry if it's a repeat to some.

When my daughter was about 3-4 years old she and her uncle would call each other names for fun. One particular name "monkey" stuck......and they would call each other "a monkey" whenever they got the chance. Cute and funny right? So, low and behold, one day I'm at the supermarket with my daughter.....she was sitting in the cart and we were second on line waiting to check out at the cashier. The cashier happens to be an afro-American male, about 25 years old. Well, you guessed it, my daughter jokingly looks over at him and calls out "you're a monkey"! I looked like deer caught in headlights......now luckily the cashier didn't hear her, but the people around me did (thankfully none were Afro-American). I quickly grabbed the biggest piece of candy from the "impulse buy" area and gave it to my daughter to keep her occupied while I surveyed and tried my hand at damage control, lol......

Well, there's one story.....I've got another one that I'll tell later......if this thread keeps going....hopefully!!!

The two I'm raising visit their parents Saturday through Sunday. I pack them a bag every week. They never come home with all their clothes and their undergarments/socks are almost never returned so I often have to buy them new socks & undies.

Last week I bought the little one (age 5) a new pack of undies that were of the "avengers" theme. After bathing him & toweling him off I left the room for him to get himself dressed. I usually leave his clothes on the bed to make it easier for him.

He comes out to the living room and I can see that he's wearing layers of underwear. I peel off the first pair, there's a second pair. I peel off the second pair, there's a third pair and so on. I say Dirty Bird! Why are you wearing all these underwear? And he says "but Aunt T, I want to be all of the avengers at once!"

I thought that was just hilarious.

When my nephew was little, he had his first loose tooth. He refused to let his mother pull it and insisted he wanted me to do the deed. So he came over the next day and with one quick gentle yank, the tooth easily came free. I smiled at my nephew and opened my hand to show him his tooth. To my amazement, he looked up at me, started to cry and sobbed, "PUT IT BACK, PUT IT BACK!!" We all still get a kick out of that. BTW he had me pull his daughters first tooth also. Lol! I'm known as the Aunt who's the best tooth puller in these here parts.:)
