I'm thinking WOW I hate to be you! I hope your yard is now free of snakes. I hate those things, and living in the country with a neighbor next door who moved out and never even when living there had a good track record of mowing their lawn..........the grass is very high! Snakes, mice and other critters love that stuff! Right next door to me! I don't want any mice or snakes in with my chickens either.

The babies haven't learned how to shut the venom off. That is why they are more dangerous :)

You would be very good at Cruise director. You made me think of Monty Pyton and the search for the Grain with the coconuts :)

Saw a dead run over copperhead in my subdivision entrance just last week.

My wife went outside on the front porch one evening to talk on the phone late in the spring .... Was just about to sit down on one of the chairs and noticed something black on it. Yep, a snake. Wasn't poisonous, tho. She really hates snakes too.

I live by the lake and we have dog doors. One day I ame in and there was a big snake in the bedroom. I went and got a bat and when I came back the snake was gone. I knew I had to find it so I looked under the bed and I saw the snake. I beat to death a pair of pantyhose under the bed :)

One afternoon I saw this garden snake in my yard eating a frog. I froze! Then my son came out and in the tightest, most quite voice I said don't move snake! He's like awww mommy that's just a garden snake that won't hurt you!

Don't matter it's a snake!

This year we have seen so many snakes on the roads dead or alive. More then normal....

LOL

Anytime my wife sees one she wants me to come out and deal with it. I'm more of the mindset that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

I've seen more than usual too. We have tons of toads out too. I think it's from all the rain. I found a toad in the house the other night.
