Her mother should be shot for parading her daughter around like a little doll and living vicariously through her. The kid is cute but in a few years she will be like another child star who couldn't transition successfully into their awkward teenage years. Her mother looks ridiculous in the audience of the baby beauty pageant.

And look where he is today. He hasn't done a movie in years and is all over the tabloids for having a drug problem and being arrested in airports for possession. Sad but it seems to happen to a lot of the child stars who can't make the transition successfully to adult actor.

I like Honey Boo Boo. Her parents are no worse than the other pageant parents featured on Toddlers and Tiaras.

The family may be a little crude, but they love each other and have fun together as a family.

They're not rich and June uses coupons so she can budget the cost of pageants for Alana. More power to them.

Shows like this just stimulate child predators.

I consider it child abuse to put make-up on a kid under the age of 13.

The only people who watch this show are too bored to get off their butts and exercise.

They will keep on churning out this garbage because viewers will watch it, it's supply and demand. People love watching reality shows, it's like watching a trainwreck. It all goes back to the granddaddies of reality shows Cops and The Real World. If people stopped watching this tripe, it would all go by the wayside and die a slow death.

They should think about parading this little girls around in make up and skimpy costumes, look what happened to Jon-Benet Ramsey. It feeds into the child predators and pedophiles.

yep i agree with regards to the Jon Benet comment, the problem is much worse than i realized because my daughter told me how she was frustrated with just trying to find a one piece bathing suit for her 6 yr old. and TV? whats that anymore, i cant stand watching it, nothin but junk on with all those reality crap type shows.

when did it all start to change, what type people are even interested in this junk.. what happened to just clean and fun comedy shows? i cant watch TV anymore, well cept for HGTV which my ol man doesnt like because i get my own ideas with fixing the place up. lol
the world Has changed.. it sad.

One piece bathing suits are available in ample supplies. I bought 2 for my 4 1/2 yr old granddaughter at a local Target. She has some 2 piece but prefers to wear the 1 piece suits.

BTW, there are lots of other channels you can watch in place of TLC.

Reminds me of when I worked in cable tv customer service. A man called complaining about what he was seeing. He was watching Playboy and didn't like the lesbian scene. I told him to go to another channel and come back 10 mins.

I'll try to be polite here, but that family needs to eat more salads. The little girl is not 'little' enough to call her CUTE.
