Nido Nestle is repeatedly releasing on TV channels its clip suggesting viewers that its milk is best for human growth more particularly for children. No doubt Nido is a good quality and it can safely be said it is the most favourite milk powder in most of the third world countries. The NIDO/Nestle is an international multination and as per practiced believed and recognized world over its milk is supposed to be of same single formula and quality. However it is a naked fact that NIDO produced in Pakistan is not of international quality adopted elsewhere by the manufacturer. Despite ever increasing prices the NIDO in Pakistan is of superior quality as to compared to its international production. To know the truth one does not need to go for any lengthy costly laboratory tests which can of course be obtained today as you may required but one can see it through normal eye vision. If there really honestly exists an NGO which truly believes on civic social humanity work and is not registered as mostly our NGOs are. For example last month the nation saw on TV channel more than 50 NGOs having gathered in Mirpur Sindh for interview and showing their presence at the house of 17 years old arrested for stealing “atta” but according to Express News TV channel live till 03.00 afternoon none had brought even a single bread from home for the hungry family. If there really is any honest NGO, then the test is it purchases a fresh pack/tin of locally produced Nido and at the same time purchase one tin imported (in fact smuggled) available in posh supermarkets in Karachi/Islamabad. This imported (smuggled); a tin have both English and Arabic texts on the it which Nido is sold in Arab countries. Open both at the same time. See the difference that the imported tin would have nice white powder with little golden yellowish colour but “crisp” dry powder while local would through named eyes appear lower quality mutilated colour as if humidiated. The imported powder will give a very fine smell. Its particulars/graneules would be separate from each other while in case of Nestle produced in Pakistan it would be totally different and naked appearly to be of low quality. The formula might be same but surely the raw material is of superior quality. Will anyone move.
