Her hood ornament was too small so she upgraded to a roof topper.

That will ruin the fuel mileage with all that drag on the roof

I'm hopeful that fossil fuel will be a thing of the past by the time she gets behind the wheel again.

That's the first time I ever heard of the town but I suppose it's a real place. I wonder why the body stayed on the roof. You'd think it would slide off during a turn or when she accellerated or stopped. This is why I don't drink and drive.(anymore) She had to be really blasted to hit somebody and just keep going. That's not something I would want to live with for the rest of my life.

She would have been high on pot then, not booze. Of course I wouldn't know about that.

They are waiting for the toxicology tests to come back and they do suspect she was high on some drug. But WE wouldn't know which one now would WE? ROTFL!!

She's in a whole lot of trouble no matter what. Some people just can't get it together. I gave my old Grand Marquis to a couple who were down on their luck when I got my new car last fall and it was less than two months later she got busted for DUI and the car got impounded. The car was worth 4 or 5 thousand and they never did get it out of impound. Some folks just never learn.

I really loved that old car and now I feel like I let her down by giving her to somebody who didn't take care of her. I know I sound like a nut-case but I get attached to my cars. I guess I'll just have to lavish more attention on Delores The Taurus now.

Yes, there is a Bear, Delaware zip code 19701. It's more an area though along US Route 40, not a specific town.

The driver was going around 50mph, when she hit the victim. The victim's shoes and skirt were left at the impact spot. The victim's leg also was severed, and was later found inside the car.(This information was obtained from the actual on air police scanner at the time of the accident)

The driver, who was wanted by the police for not showing up at trial for a previous DUI, was given bail of $6000. She was unable to make this bail (so far) and remains in jail.

The above are facts, the following is my opinion: The driver should not have been granted bail at all. The judge should be ashamed of himself since the driver has already shown she will not show up for trial. Hopefully, she will be unable to obtain bail, but her family will probably bail her out.

Granted the driver has a drug/drinking problem, which I'm sure 20 or 30 years in prison should resolve.

She did this after skipping bail and her new bail amount is only six thousand dollars? Please tell me that was a typo.

My niece has a VW beetle (newer model) that is red with black spots and a pair of eyes with a huge smile. She named it Ladybug and now it has taken over our lives. Everytime we see anything about ladybugs we get it for her. You name it. If it has a ladybug on it she has it. Do you have ladybugs in OZ?

Does anybody remember the scene from the movie "Vacation" starring Chevy Chase where they drove halfway across the country with the dead old lady tied to the top of the car? That is what this story reminds me of.
By the way, there is a town named Bear in Idaho also.
