If that's your question then start your own thread, don't worry what mines should be. It's okay if you're obese but no need to be rude just answer the question or ignore it

Lol @ comparing obesity to racism and the like. You realize that it's there fault that they are obese?

According to some at the rate we're going, by the year 2019 obesity will be the number one cause of death in America. Likely because the obese aren't working towards getting healthy. Don't come with that crap about trying to lose and not working. I guarantee you that if a million dollars or a brand new bmw was going to be given to them upon getting fit the vast majority of them would go hard.

I don't understand the pride in putting yourself at risk for diabetes high blood pressure, and stroke. I would be ashamed of my body. I wouldn't go around bragging and forcing my lifestyle on everyone

Well said. Now go ask your employer and so many other employees what they think. I couldn't care less, I don't have to share a bed with them.
i could care less what they think or who you share a bed with, what kind of asinine comment was that? Your pathetic attempt to defend your thread? I say again grey box, why do you care.
Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.

NO, it is not always their fault. Are you saying this isn't about being prejudice? If so, then I must respectfully disagree though I'm not intent in being disagreeable regardless if our opinions disagree. I'm done talking this subject.

I'm not fat, but at one time I needed to take medication and I did plump out. Besides which, you shouldn't throw others under a bus because you don't care for their answers.

Just one more thing hardknocks. Why did you choose to mention women in title? What's your momma look like? Do have enough hate to go around or was their some sort of purpose to this sad discussion?

not always, the " hard "'truth is over eating isn't the only thing that can cause someone to be over weight

Lack of Energy Balance

A lack of energy balance most often causes overweight and obesity. Energy balance means that your energy IN equals your energy OUT.

Energy IN is the amount of energy or calories you get from food and drinks. Energy OUT is the amount of energy your body uses for things like breathing, digesting, and being physically active.

To maintain a healthy weight, your energy IN and OUT don't have to balance exactly every day. It's the balance over time that helps you maintain a healthy weight.

The same amount of energy IN and energy OUT over time = weight stays the same
More energy IN than energy OUT over time = weight gain
More energy OUT than energy IN over time = weight loss

Environment
Our environment doesn't support healthy lifestyle habits; in fact, it encourages obesity. Some reasons include:

Genes and Family History
Studies of identical twins who have been raised apart show that genes have a strong influence on a person's weight. Overweight and obesity tend to run in families. Your chances of being overweight are greater if one or both of your parents are overweight or obese.

Health Conditions
Some hormone problems may cause overweight and obesity, such as underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), Cushing's syndrome, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

Underactive thyroid is a condition in which the thyroid gland doesn't make enough thyroid hormone. Lack of thyroid hormone will slow down your metabolism and cause weight gain. You'll also feel tired and weak.

This is only a few reasons, before making comments you should know the "truth"

I didn't create this mess and I already admitted it was unkind to say and mentioned my partner that was obese. I'm more a neutral voice in here, but perhaps you didn't notice since I keep changing my name. I had hoped you caught the humor in the last one I noted you with. Regardless, no need to get so excited. I value your opinion out here.

As for the naughty mention of the bed,... well, I'd fallen to the floor more than once when my partner turned over.:O

That's just another way of saying, if you eat too much and exercise too little you're going to be fat.

Somehow we went from the definition of being heavy or say plus size to the same thing as the thread began, obese, these are not the same...

5'4" weigh in for the mat at 175...ok...you need the gym, perhaps give up that moose tracks ice cream for a few weeks...now 5'4" 360lbs...we are talkin' lapband and whatever you do, DO NOT go near the beach....in a thong....

there is a difference..

Of course we know it's men and women, children and some even kill their pets with unhealthy diets.

Liam never did explain why he has such a strong opinion, yet he wonders why any of us would. Hmmm

What kind of ice cream do you like anyhow? I like sugar (why doesn't that word have an 'h' in it), but I don't/won't coat/quote everything with it.

My mother is obese and has been all her life. She likes sitting in the recliner barking orders to her 'boy' and kids so she doesn't have to move. She is diabetic and eats sugar and takes shots all day long. Truth be known, I'm concerned (the older I get) if I'll be able to maintain my healthy weight.

Health problems do interfere with staying in shape.
Nuff said, too much perhaps.

Heavy?..Baby I'm top heavy..I have gained some weight which I look better now than I did when I weighed 105..I'm 5'6" and I'm big bone...Even skinny as I was..some still made fun of me...I am beautiful and anyone who makes fun of someone else must have some problems within themselves. We are all beautiful people.
