I was watching CNN the other night and I heard a few commentators use the made-up word, "Intresting". The use of this and other made-up words among so-called intelligent people makes me scratch my head and wonder about the state of the world's intelligence. Other words I have witnessed being used(either on cable television, radio, or the Internet)are: "Conversate" and "Sitting Up There"(when referring to someone who is actually standing).

What kind of made-up words or phrases irk you or make you wonder about certain people's I.Q.'s?

"Bye-Bye".

Why say it twice? Can't we just say "bye" and be done with it?

Do we say "Hi-Hi" when we greet someone? No, we don't.......or maybe we should? Yeah, I think that's the ticket. From now on I'm going to great people by saying "Hi-Hi".....and see what happens.
