There are a lot of people suffering right now. The millions who have been pushed out of the labor force, by a government determined to flood the labor pool to reduce wages and eliminate benefits. There are millions who cannot obtain health care because of politicians who decided it is more important to give billions of dollars to a few rich guys than it is to allow people access to health care.

Our government is broken and dysfunctional. We will continue to exacerbate disasters like this until we fix our government.

The point is to get our act together so we can avoid these disasters, not promote them.

So yes, sent a kind thought or two, but don't forget the millions of others who are suffering just as surely due to our government's policies. Don't ask me to ignore the suffering.

I never understood where these ignorant people get their dumb ideas anyway. Federal money is taxpayers money not whomever is sitting in the oval office, this time it's Obama. Oklahomans pay federal income taxes and federal taxes on fuel and many businesses pay additional federal fees/taxes because of the business they are in so why wouldn't they be eligible for FEMA funds in a natural disaster?
Ridiculous.
Exactly, government is nothing more than a giant overseer. To elevate them to any more than that is ludicrous.

Has anyone drown in the school rubble? A radio show said, that students were drown in the rubble because of a water main broke. I am seeking truth from Moore, OK. on that before repeating it. Thank you.

I saw the nightly special news coverage and a lady said, seven children drown at a school.
All those hurting people who love them and those who found them, my heart aches with you.

Are you aware that the senator for Oklahoma has already come out against helping these people? He said no federal money for help until the federal debt is paid. Do you find that acceptable that the person that is supposed to represent those in such misery has already opposed any kind of help? Is this what you are supporting?
I'm aware that he voted against a federal package for Sandy relief because it contained too much pork and that he wanted that package offset by spending cuts somewhere else.
I'm also aware that this area has been declared a disaster area and that FEMA, and it's funds, will be tapped, no matter what he has to say about it.
I'm also aware that he did not "oppose any kind of help."
And none of this has anything to do with the comment you posted and that I responded to...but, good job pettifogging the issue.

Benghazi was a terrorist attack, planned and perpetrated by terrorists.
The Boston bombing was a terrorist attack, planned and perpetrated by terrorists.
This was a tornado, generated by a trifecta of weather conditions which commonly occur in the plain states, widely known as an area called tornado alley.
I would tell you to get effing lost, but apparently, you already are.

Hey, I have an idea. How about shutting down Guantanamo torture prison and saving $450,000,000 that could be used to rebuild our nation. How about we stop giving billions upon billions to Haliburton and use that to rebuild our nation? How about we stop the wasteful "investigations" into everything Obama does and use that money to rebuild our nation?

There are plenty of place to cut spending if the GOP were only willing to stop giving all our hard earned money to the exceedingly wealthy. Let's end subsidizes to the rich and we could put it into Social Security and let everyone retire with a great pension at 55.

You want the federal debt paid off?? Go ahead and pay it yourself. Why should I have to pay, I didn't authorize any of that spending, and I did not benefit from the giveaway to the rich.

How about shuting down the constant golfing and campaigning for a man that can't run again. That would save closer to a billion.

The Warren is the Warren Theater. It had some exterior damage and some broken water pipes. They sheltered in place and all patrons and employees were safe. This business has already replaced their roof and they will reopen for business on 5/29/2013. In the meantime, they are helping the community and their parking lot is a staging area for media and first responders.

Of Tinker Federal Credit Union branch in Moore, 24 persons sheltered in the bank vault and all are safe. The vault was the only part of that building still standing.

Plaza Towers elementary had no basement. The wall fell on the students and some were pushed face down where water had pooled.

No basement in that school. They were where the water had pooled and this was after the wall had collapsed on them.

Getting help from the trauma is vital. The President is helpful. He's a husband and father. The values that he is teaching his own daughters is by example. Children learn by watching. Those pictures of students being lifted out of that school rubble by those helping hands is an example of human kindness. If the WH was hit by a tornado, we would be doing our best to save their lives. A dry preacher has nothing to be shared to the congregation. The light and love has gone from his heart. May the light and love never leaves our hearts in caring for family. We are all family. President Obama is a brother. He needs our prayers. Even God can harden our hearts for His own purpose. I think of the Bible story about Egypt and those plagues. America has to keep turning to God. When Empires turn from Him you have massive evil. Tornadoes leave massive damage. It can be cleaned up. Shattered lives need support including spiritual support. God is the one who get's us through this life. On a death bed, no one cares about politics. They care about family. We are all family. May the lives of each of us be mindful of how we contribute and not contaminate the life of another.AMEN
i'm sorry to say either your god is malevolent or non existent. Christians say their god is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful. basically omniscient. Christians also say that their god controls everything in heaven and earth. so tell me who sent the tornado that killed all those people if go did then he is malevolent and evil. if he didn't then he's either not all powerful or non existent.so so much for god. what a useless bundle of myths...
