When news people write a story about someone stranded in the mountains, trails, waterways etc., etc. a person who is a Real Hiker, spends time learning how to Hike on trails, takes precautions, wears the right gear and carriers the right supplies incase of emergency, let's people know where they are going and what time they should be back. They know there limits. This is just a little bit of what a True Hikers learns, whether on a day hike or week hike. Do not identify people who just go for a walk on a trail as a hiker. They would never go on a hike, when the weather is not right. Call the people who do stupid and put others at danger to save them, what there are our, people not thinking and get into situations, they have no business doing. Give True Hikers there due, you wouldn't call a Professional News Person a Intern that runs around doing grunt work for your paper. Thanks
