Climate change deniers are a huge problem. For some reason that escapes me they do not believe in science. Unless there is a global concerted effort to address climate change future generations are in for a very rough time. So yes, I do believe that people who refuse to accept the overwhelming scientific evidence about Global Warming are first degree trolls. You use a computer. You fly in airplanes. You drive in cars. All of these were developed by science. Without science we would still be in the Dark Ages.
Hmmm! This smacks of my favourite idiom...

And in the dark ages people would shout...

toxic topix AGW deniers have almost no science & mathematics degrees. They passed no science, chemistry, astronomy, physics, algebra or pre-calc in their poorly earned hi skule DEE-plooomaas. toxic topix AGW deniers have made math errors of 1 million TIMES, 1000 TIMES, 3000 TIMES, 73 million TIMES, 500 million TIMES, 2.5+ trillion TIMES & worst of a thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand TIMES. Such ilk can NOT believe in science or they would admit the worthlessness of their pursuits.

BTW, I am not a 'climate denier', I am aware that the climate is not static...

and... Is often naturaly less static in very extreme fluctuations!

From the story:

For instance, the planet experienced a sharp rise in temperature by 5 degree Celsius 20,000 years ago, as Earth emerged from the last ice age.

This is a change comparable to the high-end of the projections for warming over the 20th and 21st centuries, according to the reserachers

But experts and climate scientists believe global warming has not stopped but paused - with the average rate of warming just 0.04C per decade between 1998 and 2012, compared with 0.17C per decade from 1970-1998

Now even if the rate of warming returned to .17C per decade you cant get 5C warming this century. No politician can sell that story. Probably why no one cares.

The thread is warming too.

On average, the display demonstrates that the temperature on Earth has increased by nearly one degree Celsius over the past 130 years, and many of the warmest years on record have occurred only recently.

Which is a totally different mechanism and a totally different temperature range. The feedback from albedo changes amplifies the small changes in orbits and this happens over a LONG time period.

You are right in that the expected change in climate can be compared to going back into an ice age (in terms of impact). That is a DRASTIC change probably even more significant than global warming. Do you think that the impact of going into a new ice age would be LESS SIGNIFICANT??

And one thing about AGW is that it is happening 10 times faster than any previous warming. That has a major effect on climate stability.

The lower warming of the AIR (meterology data) has little to do with the warming of the SURFACE. Almost 98% of the thermal mass being warmed is in the land and ocean. Air temperature data must be averaged over thirty years or more to eliminate the 'noise' from things like the ENSO cycle pushing more or less warmth into the polar regions. ALSO the selection of 1998 (a peak warm year) is cherry picking and invalid. www.skepticalscience.com/graphics.php...

Nuff said. You are a troll with NO comprehension of the climate or the science.

I read this article yesterday and thought not even the very dedicated AGWs would support this.
from the article

"Climatologists at Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment have warned the likely rate of change over the next century will be at least 10 times quicker than any climate shift since the dinosaurs became extinct."

Europe lost 30% to 50%, depending on location, of its human population after the start of the LIA in the 14th century.

I don't know of these scientists have noticed or not but most of the Midwest is experiencing cooler than average temperatures. It is so weird. It should be scorching hot with little rain but instead it's been in the 80s with rain almost every other day!
I don't know of these scientists have noticed or not but most of the Midwest is experiencing cooler than average temperatures.
Meteorologists (weather) scientists are undoubtably watching it. Climate scientists won't look at it until it becomes a thirty yhear or long trend (like AGW). But as you say it is 'cooler than normal'. Half the weather (approximately) will be 'cooler than normal' and half will be 'hotter than normal' in any year with an accurate 'mean value'. Why is that relevant???

Hey you are wrong.

You don't read or comprehend, contrary to your lies. You have not heard of the Black Plague, obviously.

Wikipedia:.. the Black Death is estimated to have killed 3060% of Europe's total population.[7]

The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, killing an estimated 75 to 200 million people and peaking in Europe in the years 134850 CE.[1][2][3]
