The viewer poll on this site asks the question, "Do you support the Health Care reform bill that was passed by the House of Representatives this weekend?" The vote stands at 72% No to 28% Yes. Guess that about says it all, heh?

Ditto, Cvillemom!
In contrast, 60 people from the local area, took off work and paid their way to Washington DC last Thursday to rally with over 40 thousand people from across the country and to visit Mr. Perriello in person. We didn't take a camera crew.
In September, over a million and a half people did the same. The press coverage was abyssmal and the arial photos, never released.
The results of the poll are eerily similar to the results in the statewide elections lst week. As they refuse to listen, we will have to take our 72% and VOTE THEM OUT.

Don't you love the liberal biased that nbc 29 shows in their news!! Makes me sick!! Their own poll shows that a majority do not support this reform bill that will break America but still they cover the stories that support the far left agenda. Bye bye one term Tom!!

NBC 29 covered FIRST on the TV news the local right of sanity wingnuts that rallied in front of Rep. Perriello's office after the vote IN SPITE of the fact that there were supporters of the vote as well. So you guys got yOUR facetime first on the screen. QUESTION? were you were today? too cold to protest?

Brandyn Keating supports Perriello’s yes vote. Keating says,“Health insurance is breaking folks' backs and they're not getting the care they need which is simply unacceptable, so we're here to applaud the fact that a historic step has been taken.”
HOW will Perriello's bill bring costs DOWN? It WON'T! As a matter of fact, it will bring health insurance costs UP--look at the CBO report. In 2013, it will prohibit private insurance from even being offered in the "exchange"--notice how Perriello conveniently dodged that one on the telephone townhall last night?
This legislation is a segway for single payer health insurance--with denial of care, drugs and rationing we see in England and Canada. These "supporters" want so desperately see something that ISN'T THERE. Our federal government can't even manage a vaccine program properly--now we want them to manage our healthcare and insurance? NO WAY! This legislation, if passed, will fundamentally and permanently ruin our health care system and quality of life. We must not allow that to happen.

November, 2010 will be the final determination of whether or not Congressman Perriello voted in accord with the wishes of his constituents rather than voting to support Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat party. If he wants his political career to extend beyond 2010, he had better hope he voted in accord with the wishes of the people of the 5th District.

It might say that the multi-million dollar effort by the health insurance companies to protect their interests includes having their tools repeatedly cast no votes. Polls conducted to be statistically random don't result in this wide margin.

I wonder what Mama Nancy promised him if he voted yes. He doesn't seem to mind that he'll only have one term.

How does one respond to this total pile of BS! I can't help but wonder if any of those "supporters" could stand alone & explain their understanding of the "healthcare bill". How can they not see the "proof in the pudding"...the postal service, Amtrak, Medicare, Social Security...

Yes, a truly impressive turnout; what, 35 people? All holding signs printed from the same Obama organization website. What a joke. No amount of spin is going to change the obvious; Periello made a huge career blunder by spitting in the face of the majority of his constituents and supporting this bill. He IS a one term wonder, like Obama.

I've been wondering that myself: maybe there's a cushy Community Organizing job waiting for Perriello come 2011.

Or he may figure that having voted already for the Stimulus and Cap-and-Tax, he won't suffer any additional damage from voting yes on this health care bill.

Whatever the reason, the Fifth District needs new representation. Perriello has a lot of good points, but we need someone tougher minded with common sense.

It should be noted that press coverage of last week's protest was limited because of the breaking news of the Fort Hood shootings that afternoon.

I'll agree, Tommy needs to go. I don't want Goode back though, he's had enough time in DC and some of his statements in the last term cause me to wonder if he's losing it upstairs.

We need a new strong candidate to actually represent the populace of the 5th district. Rob Shilling, where are you when we need you??

You mean the terrorist attack at Ft. Hood, not just a shooting. We have "shootin's" in C-ville 'bout every week. Or was the terrorist attack on our men and women in uniform a man-made event"?
