This is going to mean our local businesses will suffer. What a shame. The town could use some good news and holiday cheer.

Our economy is suffering. Friends of mine from Lubbock were up set at Thanksgiving because the decision to pull the plug on the ski are was 24 hrs before the Holiday. They were coming to enjoy thanksgiving and ski. They couldn't get a refund from the lodger and said it will be along time before they come back to
ruidoso. What happened to hospitality here in our village. Is the dollar so important that we have forgotten what built the community.

have to understand the side of the lodger. They do not guarantee snow at a facility that is outside of theior control. With little or no notice, the lodger doesn't have the chance to find another renter for the property. Many properties were sold out for Thanksgiving and with adequate notice they may have been able to re-rent the property and refund your friends.
