See if you can spot what is wrong with this two statements

"13 inches of snow accumulated by noon in Hanover"

"The total snow accumulation for the day was expected to be between six and 12 inches"

I know it did start to snow at 11pm, but come on. How can these two statements make it into the same article? Did the editor call a "snow day" for today?

I bought a 78 Scout that gets 5mpg. I use coal to heat my house. For fun I pour gas over Styrofoam. And yet I'm still shoveling snow! Where's that global warming! Thanks a lot Mr. Gore!

Hey ummm-
get over it, all the editor was saying is what the totals were supossed to be and the totals exceeded that, stop being so petty.

Why not in the same article? One was the "forcast", the other is "acutal". The only thing wrong is with the poster.
