Man, I live in Coweta and don't have that problem. Wonder where abouts she lives. I am in a newer neighborhood, maybe she's in an older part of town. I have been here at my location for 9 years now and have never experienced what she's claiming. Enjoy your 15mins of fame!....Maybe, for attention using well water....Maybe, a Bells' family person who's now trying to smear the city...Maybe, she washed her dirty animals inside the house in the tub and the husband busted her so its her scapegoat...Maybe,'somebody' had an "accident" in the tub and thats their excuse...Maybe, she lives in a recently deannexed neighborhood....or even possibly, this is the real deal. Why air out your dirty water on TV?...cmon, did Jerry Springer turn your story down?

This is the CITY OF COWETA and not a Rural Water district that is experiencing this problem. Not all of Coweta receives their drinking water from the City.

I can't believe the way some people act these days....are you really a grown woman? this is what is wrong with our society today......and back to the related topic...I have lived in coweta off and on for the past 5 years and EVERYTIME I've lived here I've gotten papers in the mail about the impurity of the water...I live IN TOWN..not in some new fancy neighborhood OUTSIDE of town...you probably know nothing about the problem because you're on a different water supply...and there's no way I will drink it without boiling it first!

If you hire idiots to filter your water, you get what you deserve. Hint: hire an expert!

I get a letter in the mail on a monthly basis telling me that our water is not up to standards and that it's unsafe for elderly people to drink. I don't know how much money I've spent on water filters over the past twenty-one years; I just know I don't drink or cook anything without filtering the water first, and I'm not even an elderly person. I sure do miss the clear, fresh mountain water I grew up with.

To think, they want(ed) to raise our taxes for an amusement park? Hah!! What a joke.

I live near where they want to put Bell's and whenever they do anything with the water lines out here, my water looks like what's in that bathtub. They should have to give us a credit on our water bill for the gallons we have to flush down the drain 'til it runs clear again. Being from the land of summer drought, it makes me cringe whenever I have to waste water like that.

This sheds another light on what's going to happen to us if that deal goes through.

And we want to raise taxes for entertainment? How about just being able to drink the water? I just moved to Coweta a year ago and I have been getting letters in the mail every few months telling me the water could cause cancer because our treatment plant is not up to code. Wagoner County needs some priorities.

Rural water#5, is a hazard to your health! Been here nine years. The colors of this water looks like a toxic rainbow via BT. Take a shower and get dirt in eyes! eats away at dish washers(replaced 2).3 hot water tanks,Wiped out my Ice maker twice, have to replace flusher hardware at least twice a year, lost 3 German Shepherds all 3 with cancer in Digestive track! Eats up water filters, and your hair comes out !! Who even cares ? how about KOTV News 6 ?
Who owns Rural water#5 ? CEO Person in Charge? Court Time?

The wife and I have lived here for a little over 10 years and have received those notices periodically warning of the problems in the water, but have never gotten water that looks that bad. That stuff looks more like sewer water than drinking water.

I can attest to the fact that the water was THAT bad AND THAT color! I kept yelling at my teen thinking she was not flushing! Then it was in all the faucets. This lady is telling the truth.

I have been on Rural Water #5 for over 20 years and have no idea what you are talking about. My water tastes great straight out of my faucet. When my friends come over that live in the City of Coweta they are all surprised about how great my water is. They all buy bottled water to drink at their homes. Sounds like you have had a lot of bad luck over the years and you are looking to blame it on Rural Water. I have many dogs, they all drink the water and have never been sick. And my husband is losing his hair.... but it is because he is going bald with age, NOT because of the water.

I saw a short piece about it on another station this morning. The guy said it was like this every year during the rainy season, and that it would straighten up once it's passed. Does anyone else remember how much rain we had last year at this time? I do, and I certainly don't remember seeing brown water in the bathtub. In fact, I don't remember this from any spring/summer season at all in the past twenty-one years. I only remember seeing this when they flushed fire hydrants or had to replace a broken water line. I don't remember getting that letter in the mail as often as I have in the past year, either.

I washed out my horse's water trough last night and when I started filling it, I could see the difference. I don't expect her to drink this nasty stuff any more than I would drink it myself. Instead, the bucket in her stall was filled with filtered water from the kitchen sink. It's an inconvenience and an added expense because I'll have to constantly check the bucket, and replace the filter that much sooner. But, it is what it is since we need the rain.

I am so afraid to even cook or drink this water, even w/a filter, my kids are so affraid to take a bath in it, so we ran it for a while till it clears up a bit.....yaaak...may be that's why some of us are not being able to sell our homes.....
