I don't know why they think alternative routes to cargills leap etc are the main issue here. Oak bank road is a major route from Rattray to town, avoiding traffic and enjoying walking. It is far more heavily used than I think the council realise for leisure but also for getting from a to b on foot or bike. Keathbank bridge is used continually too, and a direct virtually traffic free route to town or circular via the knockie is a huge loss for locals and tourists. Every effort should be made to preserve this route.

i am a regular user of this beautiful and peaceful river walk. i must point out that the alternative path via the somewhat dilapidated steps, seems to me to be a far greater danger than the existing path. surely there is enough width left to construct a narrow throughway. if this is not addressed, it will be a great loss, not only to the many locals who enjoy this walk, but also to the many visitors.
i feel that so much money is absolutely squandered on non essentials, it is vital that this repair is undertaken.
