Total nonsense. The blizzard conditions are a natural EFFECT of global warming. Specificially, the reduced difference in temperatures by lattitude weakens the jet stream and allows cold arctic air to plunge farther south, meeting warm wet winds from the gulf.

All this illustrates is that business men still have no clue about science, even when it affects their pocketbook. Willful stupidity? Congenital blindness?

Two problems here:

One, snow in one place or another is not "contrary to global warming," which of course causes climate CHANGE around the world affecting different areas differently.

Two, "Friends of Science" is a Big Energy-funded Denier group whose "scientists" are well-paid for their POV and include engineers and other non-climate-science folks.

"Calgary oil company Talisman Energy has been outed as the major funder behind a "Friends of Science" video series that falsely tried to claim legitimacy by tacking a University of Calgary logo on its opening credits."

Denier fraud strikes again...

Warming = more evaporation from the ocean = more water in the air = more precipitation = more snow where it's cold.

AGW theory predicts this.

There are still cold places.

Global warming doesn't mean that places that were -10 degrees C during the winter suddenly become warm in the winter.

And as LessHypeMoreFact mentioned, AGW is having an effect on weather patterns. Cold Arctic air moving south means the Arctic is warmer than usual.

During the time from about 1350-1850 a “Little Ice Age” was experienced and is best documented in Europe. This coincided with a period of very low sunspot activity, frigid temperatures and crop failures.
"NASA reports"
that such solar patterns are repeating themselves. Most solar scientists predict continued global cooling, not warming.

Well if NASA reprts it it must be true.

Why do I get the sudden impression that most Deniers live in the 14th century?:)

AGW theory predicts this.
Yeah. AGW predicted that Antarctica would get more snow & sea ice in 2002, confirmed it in 2005 & as toxic topix AGW deniers love to show, the predictions are coming true.
