Large crowd speaks out on coastal bridge project
Supporters and opponents of a new bridge to Alabama's beaches crowded into a Gulf Shores community center Thursday for the only and only public hearing on the project. The hearing hosted by the Alabama Department of Transportation delved into the pros and cons of two alternative routes for the road and bridge project estimated to cost $55.7 million to $60.7 million.

If they don't build the bridge first. Co. Rd 4. will be a nightmare until its finished. 16,000 cars a day cross the toll bridge. if just 10% use it that's 1600 more cars on 4?..they will be backed up to the beach express .
