Australian study warns global warming will intensify El Nino
ELEANOR HALL: While the Federal Government appears determined to eliminate the price on carbon as soon as possible, Australian research to be published in the journal Nature today warns that a warming planet will intensify the effects of the El Nino cycle.

It's been doing so for a while. The ENSO cycles were fairly quiet up until the warming reached a 'tipping point'.. Since then, the cycles have become MUCH more intense on a regular basis. From the strong El_Nino in 1998 to the strong La-Nina's in 2010 and 2012.
