My Yoshino cherry (colt) in the backyard normally flowers in late march.

This year thanks to the cvomplete absence of gulf stream influence, the tree is still in bud with the flowers only just emerged closed from the bud scales and the tips of the pink petals about 1/5 of the open size.

I am expecting the peak flower season to be 10-15 April this year with likely emphasis on 15 rather than 10 with the close of the bloom flush likely to match the satozakuras.

This year also both Pandora,(a Yoshino-spring) and P. Subhirtella Rosea pendula (a spring) have flower buds almost as developed as colt and all 3 are likely to be in full flush @ the same time.

The bulk of the lying snow from the last event has now melted, but roof avalanche snowpiles are still 1 foot deep in full sun.

Have a nice day: Ag
