Mary you're living in a dreamworld if you think the majority of mother's have the OPTION of staying home and raising their children in this day and age. How incredibly small minded of you. Most families today have no choice but two run though the grace of two-career parents. Many have to have several jobs to get by. What a wonderful fairy-tale land you must live in to think that moms can just stay at home and wait for their Prince Charming Husbands to take care of all their families needs. Wake up and smell the millennium, Harriet - Ozzie doesn't live here anymore.
If I can do it, as well as MANY other mothers,(and my husband doesn't make that much money) so can YOU. It all depends on priorities.

Well that's your OPINION and that's just fine...for you.
Meanwhile, I work full-time and have children and I don't feel guilty because of it. It's not really your place to judge me. Everyone is not the same.

Nice try Einstien but I said "as a whole". You must be a sissy since you took exception to my comment.
I've never missed a day of work or play due to the weather. I do not let the weather keep me from work or play.
Inclimate weather is just a convenient excuse people use to get a day off of work.
I may not be EINSTEIN but I CAN SPELL the word and also INCLEMENT !!!! Spelling Police are here...and most SISSYS cannot spell

Do you think the weatherman (meteorologist) ever just looks out a window? Might improve his forecast.

If you want strangers to raise your children, then that's on you...but I love my children. People don't realize how important it is to love and nourish children, especially at an early age.

I love and nourish my children every chance I get...just don't want to be looked at as "less" of a mom because I work to provide them with everything they need (especially the benefits...my husbands' are not good).
And actually, we don't have "strangers" raising them...we have family, and they come right to our home each day. Being a mom is the #1 priority in my life, and my most important job. Just wanted to state that :o)

Maybe you would like to believe that, but your actions speak much louder than the lies that you have convinced yourself to believe. No one can love YOUR children as you and your husband can. But in your case, maybe that doesn't hold true and therefore I stand corrected.

You don't even know me, so what do YOU know about it? Maybe you aren't even a good mom. Maybe you are jealous because I have a career and two wonderful loving children. Don't speak to me as if you have any idea who I am or how I conduct my life...you judgemental sourpuss. I don't recall asking for your approval.
Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has them. I don't agree with you and you don't agree with me....end of story.

You show exactly what you are by your own words...an ungodly person that chooses the almighty dollar over her children and then makes up excuses for her selfishness.

And you show what you are...a judgemental, godless, mindless twit who has no idea what she is talking about. What do you think you show me by your words? Are you proud of yourself?
By the way, if you are the loving, nurturing mother of the year...WHY ARE YOU ON THE COMPUTER and not watching your kids right now?
I never said I put the "almighty dollar" before my kids...you said that because you think you know everything.

Hey, when all we've got base a plan upon is the weather report, I'm all for closing schools based on a weather report.
Whaddya think they should base their decisions upon - a crystal ball? Tarot cards? The Superintendent's hangover?
I like the latter choice.
