Effects of climate change will be felt more deeply in decades ahead, draft report says

Full story: The Washington Post

A federal advisory panel released a draft report Friday on how Americans can adapt to a changing climate, a more than 1,000 page tome that also sums up what has become increasingly apparent: The country is hotter than it used to be , rainfall is becoming both more intense and more erratic, and rising seas and storm surges threaten U.S. coasts.

How do the climate change deniers get their message out? The oil and coal industries, which create greenhouse emissions, have a well-financed propaganda machine aimed at casting doubt on the overwhelming scientific consensus about man-made climate change.

The oil & coal companies used the same tactics the tobacco industry used to create public doubt about the dangers of smoking.

The first priority must be phasing out coal power plants. Coal is cheaper than wind or solar only becasue the health care and environmental costs of coal are passed on to the public.

Yeah!!!
I with you man. Those stupid scientists with their, facts, figures, computer models, experimental evidence, historical evidence, training, and all that other goobledegook.
What do they know about the climate?
Loud, Obnoxious, fat guys on the radio told me Man made global warming is a lie, and they said it really loud, so they must be right. Those "scientists" don't yell so what the hell do they know?

Next, they will try to tell us that in the 1910s to 1930s farmers in the great plains states using simple plows and equipment created a drought that affected the whole north american continent, and nearly made the great plains a man made desert for ever. Then they will try to tell y ou that "big government" intervention isn the situation actually reversed the process started by the farmers, and now the region produces plenty food because of science and government working together.
What a bunch of BS.
That's just preposterous. Earth is too big for 20 billion people all burning fossil fuels 24 hours a day to change the enviroment forever. What do those dumb scientists know about heat, and particulate matter in the atmospheere? I can't see it, unless I'm in any city in China, so it must not be happening.

WE can't stop using coal. Think of those coal miners. No way they would want to have a safer less dangerous livelyhood out there in the Mts of VA, and PA. These guys were born to be in a coal mine, and without those cushy coal mine jobs, there would be no hope for those people to stay just above poverty and uneducated.
thank god for the coal mines, amen
The oil companies have already used their onw, highly paid professional "scientists" to debunk global warming with very scientific facts.
They say global warming is happening with piles of hard to understand data, and the oil company scientists, prove them wrong by talking very loudly and pointing alot.

How is it even possible man can change his own enviroment?
Show me just one example of the presence of man changing the earth forever?
