Who said they think they own the river? They just offer a service for people who want to use it - dumb head.

I have been trying to get on the James all summer with no luck. This weather stinks. I could care less about the outfitters, as their patrons basically trash the river, and the rest of us have to put up with their boorish behavior. Maybe the James has had enough of them as well. At least this high water is giving it a good cleaning.

This is good, maybe it will put these guys out of business! They have ruined the river for the people that live here and used to enjoy the river!

Agree completely. That campground that Reeling & Rafting runs in Scottsville should be a park available to the public, not a pay-to-play commune for river hippies. Scottsville would get a bigger summertime tourism boost if the banks of the James closest to the town were open to everyone for free.

false... Thanks "hmmmm" as if you don't want to use
