Why not divert water from Elephant Butte instead? wouldn't it be cheaper project instead,I haven't really looked into this idea instead but you wouldn't get into a fight with Arizona, and save the lawyers fees, It just seems like a common sense idea and you know their will be a fight about the idea of taking water from a Arizona waterway, but then again New Mexico government doesn't understand common sense ,hell does any government understand common sense and how to save money! Yes I know people will scream about taking water from elephant butte, but do you need water to drink or do you need water to swim? I think more people want to drink than swim

elephant butt is about ankle-deep, the fish are dead, and it is but a damed up river area, it's not a natural 'source' in the true sense of water, but the one thing i'm optomistic about is that God set this globe spinning on it's gimbles and our earth will rebound and produce more than enough water over Luna Co in due season, the greatest folly is to fatten some jew lawyer's wallet with a state-vs-state lawsuit,

They have the claim to the surface water rights. Amazing how little most people know about the history of water and water law in the Southwest. Wiskey is for drinking and water is for fighting.
