Got a flashflood in Nuneaton on vid for last Saturday (was 3 days ago today on a google search "Nuneaton floods").
Nice storm hit Nuneaton almost head on & sideswiped my dot on map with a few microbursts & a bit of scattered hail.
land in that dot on the map is nearly flat with Victorian drains plugged into an old drained alluvial fan bog, with a channelized stream behind the roadway houses plumbed under the main road and beneath the town centre. About 50% of the water level in that flood appears to be surface ponding, with the rest being downslope runoff buildup down the alluvial swamp flat.
No soil seepage drainage in that dot on the map as the underlying strata is Mercian mudstone making a perfect puddle clay.(hard to see under the tarmac anyway).
have a nice day: Ag
