The Philippines has no case, and UNCLOS is not applicable in this case of disputes over the Spratlys because the UNCLOS simply has no jurisdiction over such a matter due Philippines' and China's prior actions when both countries ratified the UNCLOS.

The Philippines and its media are on an all out assault to publicize its action of suing China recently.

But that is more a tool of its badmouthing campaign to confuse the world than anything else.

What we Filipinos are doing in this issue is the same as what Malaysia has done with the Datu Kiram Royal units. Our govt. is against China's action and with good reason. Here is a true picture of the Sabah affair...Dayu Kiram and his Royal Army ( his army and not the Philippine Army)attempts to invade Sabah and announces he will stay and never surrender. Right > Malaysia in turn and as a consquence for that brazen intrusion kills many of the intruders who are the Sultan"s forces,... now, is it not normal for Malaysia to defend themselves? IS IT NOT ????What about us and the Chinese intrusion of China in the Spratlys. Are we just going to sit by and leave China do it ? But of course we are going to get mad at them and try to fight them off, will we not?
