New England begins the big dig-out after epic snow

New Englanders began the back-breaking job of digging out from as much as 3 feet of snow Saturday and emergency crews used snowmobiles to reach shivering motorists stranded overnight on New York's Long Island after a howling storm swept through the Northeast.

Oh, they'll need some serious equipment, not shovels..

Urban areas like that have no place to put the snow, almost all of it has to be hauled out. very time and labor intensive.

I'm sure the whiney massholes will expect it to be done by monday's rush hour...

Btw, it's supposed to rain this afternoon and the foot of snow we finally got will likely be gone by morning.

i've tried the napalm ping pong balls our local Forest Service people use for controlled burns to clear an area for a brush pile fire...

they don't work too well in snow...
