You need to pay for Social Security, numbnuts. That's why it went up again, so we can keep doing that. Personally, I'm OK with that.

Of course a worthless rag like the Moonie Times has to have one of their paid chimps type out some nonsense about "liberals" who are "complaining about a tax increase." It excites their readership and boosts ad revenues, I'm sure.

The entire past year, all they heard was "no one not in the top 1% will see a tax increase". So they've been sucker punched. You certainly don't care.

Anyone paying attention knew it was a temporary reduction in payroll deductions intended to put more money in people's pockets short-term, as part of the recovery. If they DIDN'T know, why don't you blame them for it? That's what Conservatives usually do, isn't it? Incidentally, there was no "tax increase." There was an increase in SS payroll deductions back to the previous level. Let's be clear on that.

For those confused about the payroll SS increase, it's like this: If I pay $250/month in rent month after month after month and then hit a bad spot, say I lose my job, and my landlord decides to be nice to me and say 'Make it $150/month the next couple of months, until you get a job'....and I get a job and go back to paying $250, I don't call that a "rent increase." That's just going back to paying the normal amount. FYI

It was not a surprise?" to answer your question in a way that you'll understand, HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY DIDN'T? it was a two year reduction in payroll taxes, for the people who remember this (going back only 2 years), it was not a surprise.

How do I know they didn't? Because your plastic Jesus campaigned on telling them that they wouldn't have a "tax increase". Or aren't you aware that most people consider DDI deductions as a "tax". The government thinks it is.
