Don't you just LOVE climate mode#3.

This climate mode is not only more efficient @ cooling the planet than the outgoing climate mode#2 (now too hot to run); it ALSO happens to flatten out the temperate rainbelt to a particular latitude and will not warp it up & down according to monsoonal flows typical of climate mode#2.

The result is that the weather tends to be the same at the same latitude despite continental & oceanic influence. The result is that on the W. coast (USA) the result is the same as normal. On the W. coast (Europe) the temperate rainbelt is now the same latitude at the N. Mediterranean (winter) & S. UK (summer) with the result that the UK is currently under heavy snow, with practically no Gulf stream current influence.
On the E. coast (USA) low pressure cells are snow rich because the air remains continental and snow results from frontal mix with the deep southern fried bible belt air. On the E.coast (Asia) the Siberian high pressure cell is now tending in winter to be bumped E. by low pressure cells skirting the N. Himalayas. Result being cold weather & dust storms in China & heavy sea effect snow in Japan.

The Punksatawney Phil groundhog day legend only works in climate mode#2. When the climate mode changes the legend becomes a leg-end.

This is no joke in fact. Climate mode#3 is the mode that ultiomately switches OFF the Gulf stream. This mode shows up at the very END of EACH of the 24 or 26 interglacial periods of the Pleistocene (the last 2.2 million years). The fact that it is happening NOW means that the current (Holocene) interglacial period is about to end.

Have a nice day: Ag
