A new State Department report is the latest evidence that the long-delayed Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada should be approved, supporters say.

Judged: 1 1 -The number of people needed to operate and maintain the 1,661-mile (2,673-kilometer) pipeline may be as few as 20, according to the U.S. State Department, or as many as a few hundred, according to TransCanada. -Where are the anti-government relics protecting the people having their properties seized? XLPipeDream hahahahahahahahahaha |

Judged: 1 1 Basically we build a pipeleine to refine oil for canada. They then sell on the open market. The difficult thing about this is the Canadian oil sands oil. It is not like the crud we get from the Gulf of Mexico, or the stuff from the iddle east. It's sand with oil in it. IT requires a lot more refining then other crude. It can't even be put in the pipeline until it has been processes into a liquid. Honestly this deal does not help the US other then people getting paid to build it. That's great and all but not sustainible. Once it built most of the...what is it now, 4,000,000,000 jobs republicans say it will create... will be lost. There is a back story to this. Some one in congres stands to profit personally a great deal to get this through. But we really don't. Let's build bridges instead. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Gas will end up being about $7-8 a gallon like it is in Europe because cheap oil supplies have run out. Sand tar, deep water drilling and deep fracking for shale oil is all that is left and this is why you see oil was always around $20 a barrel, yet it shot up to $150 and sits at about $110 most of the time now. Notice how none of the "news" channels ever talk about how cheap oil is running out and the price of a barrel of oil now. And yet this is the biggest problem we have. It affects the cost of manufacturing, of growing food, of transportation and it changes the game for growth for all nations and it changes China's ability to export its goods. It's a total game changer and yet the fake news channels never tell the public one thing about it. All they do is lie that Obama won't ever cut SS and Medicare and then turn around and talk about cutting SS and medicare - MSNBC, or they talk about never cutting military spending and about having more wars - Fox. No one is telling people real things. So they create a few temporary jobs to make a pipeline to send the oil to Texas to be refined? So? Processing sand tar oil is creating most of the air pollution in Canada, destroying the water and destroying massive amounts of old growth forests. More of the end of the planet by the greedy. So?? So what? So we all die from it. |

Judged: 1 1 1 A polar bear wanders along the ice-free shoreline of Wrangel Island in the Russian High Arctic in early August, subsisting on his fat reserves and waiting for sea ice to form again. Although in the past the ice remained near the island all year round, enabling bears to hunt for seals even in late summer, now the ice recedes far away toward the central polar basin for several months during the melt season. Wrangel was once called a “polar bear maternity ward” because several hundred mother bears denned and raised their cubs on the remote island annually. But Nikita Ovsyanikov, a Russian scientist who has been observing the bears for many years, notes that use of Wrangel for maternity denning is declining, apparently as the result of climate change. His data indicate that a maximum of only 60 to 70 females give birth to cubs on the island now, whereas in the early 1990s there were approximately 350 to 400 maternity dens in active use there each year. |

Judged: 2 2 1 ...... also on Svalbard. Polar bears can even get 'stranded' in Norway, when the Arctic sea ice melts, too. Have a hard time finding food, till the sea ice once more reattaches to the mainland. http://ktla.com/2013/01/07/polar-bear-close-e... |
