Weather prompts notices of flash floods, high winds - Hawaii News

A weather system approaching the Hawaiian Islands spurred a host of advisories from the National Weather Service yesterday.

It's a nice sunny day today. Some light showers last night. I wish I were a weather man. You can be wrong the majority of the time...and still keep your job! Remember last year they predicted high winds and closed the state down, and nothing ever happened? I need a job like that. Just make things up and hope occasionally you're right. What a bunch of lolos!

You're right! The weather guys keep on "crying wolf". One day its going to be for real & we won't listen. Better safe than sorry but everytime they have one of this warnings, the stores make money selling batteries, candles, etc. They must be in cahoots with weather service.

Too bad today was already a holiday...if it wasn't they could have taken the day off.

It's not the media it's the national weather service that provides the forecast. point the finger to them.

If you had seen what was on the radar N of the State, you might have thought it was going to storm, too... Mostly yellow, with patches of red - lots & lots of rain.
