Science isn't a house of cards, ready to topple if you remove one line of evidence. Instead, it's like a jigsaw puzzle. As the body of evidence builds, we get a clearer picture of what's driving our climate. We now have many lines of evidence all pointing to a single, consistent answer - the main driver of global warming is rising carbon dioxide levels from our fossil fuel burning.

The science for or against a policy or technology is built on experimental tests.

“When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time,”[Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore] added.“Then an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today.”

Some interesting facts missed out:

500 million years ago, the sun was much weaker than today.

Life flourished mostly near the poles, which were tropical.

At lot of the planet was hot and dry- the US would have been a desert.

Ice ages could occur then even with higher CO2 concentrations, because the sun was weaker.

There is evidence of a CO2 dip that could have caused the ice age:

Doesn't change the fact, there's never been an experimental test of AGW theory or climate change mitigation.

As usual from brian, no attempt to defend his arguments, just back to his one trick troll.

"Risks are much greater with more warming than less warming."

"And it doesn't require 100 percent certainty before you have creative options for moving forwards ... there are compelling adaptation options."

You can actually measure risk with experimental tests; without its all untested guesswork.

BTW, the author of SpaceBlues' citation, Rajendra Pachauri has profited from fossil fuel investments, He's also responsible for the UN's flawed projection of melting glaciers.

The Scientific Method defends my arguments for experimental tests. Do you know what the Scientific Method is and how it calls for experiments to test theory?

CO2 isn't a pollutant; it's vital for life.
