Like all good ideas, it is labelled 'radical' and 'unworkable' when first proposed. But it gradually gains converts as they put their initial distrust aside and really look at it.
But there will always be those who want to pervert and misdirect for their own gain. Including those who want to put the moneys collected to offsetting the national debt.
All they really want to do is prevent a 'fair share' tax on the wealthy, which would have the same effect as the 'fiscal cliff' because it would STILL increase the economic burden on the 'working class' and lead to a crash from bankruptcies, foreclosures and reduce spending.
They cannot suck the life from the REAL economy and expect it to survive no matter what loophole they think they have found..
