Cry me a river. Be glad your farmland is not valued the way other property is.

Homes are valued based on the sale price. So if I own a home that would sell for.$220,000, my property taxes are based on a value of $220,000.

If I owned a 100 acre farm valued at $900,000, my property taxes are based on a value of about $220,000.

Recently at a land auction in Union County a man paid over $10,000 an acre for land, guess what 100 acres. Just think it was bear land with no buildings over a million he paid.

I been working for these farmers all my life. They pick on me for getting some of those food stamps. That is the governments safety net for the poor. Wonder why they get subsidies and government supported crop insurance and pick on me for Medicaid Insurance. Hmmm viva la mexico

We come here and work for rich people doing their yard work. Many of us work in factories sometimes being paid under the table. We get abused by these employers but we can't say anything cause they will deport us or fire us. If we get hurt in the work place by unsafe standards we can't get help cause they will fire us or send us back. Viva la Mexico

If our crop doesn't produce then the government hand-out helps us poor farmers. Before I die I want to own 5000 acres and have Mexican slaves living 10 or more in my tenant houses. Now I know that poor people can't hire them but we rich people can. That way we get those white guys to work for less. We need to start hiring them for police and firemen jobs, you think?
