Squelch.

Best thing to do is to say the last rites as per mohammedeans & a decent burial (done rather deeply in places), & then put a grave marker on top to prevent the other local yokels building a house on the spot.

Be a very wise idea as the area is likely to be plated over by another mudflow drom the tandlides scarp in the next few decades & is a waste of time & effort digging out the carcsses.

Hmm. Local computer keyboard is old & clunky. For "tandiles scarp" read instead "landslide scarp".
