I was born in derry n.m and i saw the rio grand rise up to the levy within inches of the top in 1950 or 51 don't recall for sure. but i am shocked to here of this flooding.in 1953, my dad was forced to sell his farm due to a drought.in the year 2003,my brothers,my dad and i took a trip back to hatch and derry. every thing was a total drouht. i pray for all the folks in this valley.

hey...felipe i was born in hatch. i now live in AZ. two of my sisters lost their homes. they are now staying with my parents who are 82 and 70. all of hatch is in my prayers

I lived in Placitas (.75 mi out of Hatch on a Lil' hill...unaffected by flooding) until June 29th 2006....looks like I got out just in time....Hatch...My prayers are with you!

I WAS BORN IN LAS CRUCES BUT RAISED IN HATCH NEW MEXICO, BUT NOW I LIVE IN ARIZONA , I WAS VERRY WORRIED BECAUSE ALL MY FAMILY LIVES IN RINCON AND MY BROTHER LIVES IN PLACITAS AND THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT DISTRUCTION AND I WAS MOSTLY WORRIED ABOUT MY BROTHER LUIS CARLOS FAVELA ( MOSTLY KNOWN BY CHARLIE) BECAUSE HE WAS NO WHERE TO BE SEEN AND WE HAD THOUGHT SOMETHING HAD HAPPEND TO HIM, AND HE HAS AN 8 MONTH YR OLD DAUGHTER .
