One thing I note about sea level (currently 3.2 mm a year linear estimate) is that strong ENSO cycles have an effect by moving more or less water to the land (very temporary, of course).
Note the 1998 peak (strong El-Nino) and the 2011 dip (strong La-Nina). I suspect that if the ENSO cycle were compensated for (removed from the signal) the result would show a slight acceleration if plotted with an exponential fit.
