I Like that one.

The Guys @ the Smithsonian have been resting on their laurels since before the eruption of Havre seamount.

Will be watching the space @ the smithsonian.

Just a case of random timing, but interesting for the volcano watchers.

One item of note: The 1974-5 eruption of Tolbachik produces about a cubic Km of lava & ash. This one appears to be rather voluminous in terms of lava but the ash content is lower. Appears to be an equivalent of a medium sized icelandic eruption though and one of the few cases of backarc rift tholeiite erupted on land.
