That lot of news bites was real fun.
Tongariro outgassing was interesting; appears to match the old trend of eruption from Tongariro in the gap years between eruptions from Ngaruhoe.
The long fracture set NNE of Tongariro appears to go to Ngaruhoe. This fracture set is long because it extends into the bay of Plenty and into the Tonga-Kermadec backarc basin. Last crustal relaxation event recharging the fracture set at the base of the crust via the sub crustal magma discs was about 1450AD (Hao Whenua earthquake & Tsunami).
The short fracture set SSW. of Tongariro appears to go to Te Mari. This fracture set is short because the arc graben truncates it.
Also like the reference to Zombies, do they have a closing time for the bar over there? Over in the UK zombies are occasional when the pubs close for the night.
Have a nice day: Ag
