No No No No No! This is crazy. He'll never return for trial. This is why crime is out of control in New Mexico.

Maybe if Mr. Santiago doesn't come back for his court date, the JUDGE will realize his bright decision wasn't so bright after all. Way-To-Go,Mr. Santiago!!!!!!!!!!

It was good old boy Judge Albert S. "Pat" Murdoch, who threw out that evidence...this judge sound familiar...well it should, it was this same judge that sentenced Elton John Richard to prison and also tried to make him pay restitution for defending his home during an attempted robbery...sound even more familiar...this is the same judge that sentenced Clifton Bloomfield to four years' probation and 201 days of community custody in connection to the Nov. 29, 2005, home invasion robbery of Edwin and Rupe Garcia. Of course we now know that Bloomfield is one of the prime suspects in the 2007 deaths of Tak and Pung Yi.

How did he even make bail in the first place? Who's his wife- Oh, I see a attorney that Practice Family Law, he is a MUDER SUPSPECT and able to assist her! How ethical is that! Get that judge out of office.

Ronald Santiago cant be hiding behind his wife skirt! For what I understand his wife had a romantic relationship with Diazien Hossencofft, another murder mystery man!

I can't believe that a judge would dismiss a murder suspect for an expired search warrant, just shows how stupid he is.

The judge had to dismiss the evidence. It was obtained with a search warrant that was no longer in force. APD crime investigators goofed. Pretty scary if the cops could invade ones home with an invalid search warrant.

All is not lost, Santiago is a long way from being off the hook unless Brandenburg plea bargains murder down to jay walking.

I cannot believe Murdock let Santiago travel extensively out of state. Santiago hasn't gone to trial yet for his forgery charge & is out on $200K bond for that.

Anybody want to bet whether Santiago returns or just keeps trucking?

This has been a huge disaster....from the APD to the District Attorney Kari Brandenburg and now Judge Pat Murdock. What is going on here - JUSTICE? What the hell is wrong with this picture? This Murder investigation has fallen through the cracks - starting out as "high profile" status changing only days later due to several other high profile murders that took place days/weeks following the Dover Court Murders of John and Bernadette Ohlemacher - these victims have been forgotten and disserviced. We walk the streets with this murderer every single day. I feel this has happened in part due to the relationship Santiago developed with his divorce attorney. Felissa Garcia has quite the reputation with in our legal system. She was involved with Hosencoff professionally for sure and protected him as well after he admitted guilt - and I wouldn't doubt she was involved romantically as she displays an infatuation for murders. How embarrassing for her and her children, more so the daughter he claims to be going to New York to help out with college interviews. The investigation has not been pursued as it sits on the desk of Det. Frank Flores. Kari Brandenberg is an embarrassment to our legal system and has laughed in the face of the victims families on more than one occasion. Is this being taken seriously? One more question I sit on - what is Santiago's involvement with the victims daughter, Renee Ohlemacher? Maybe he is going to meet up with her. I fear Santiago has been given a free pass and I am sure he will not return as promised. He has his life he lives fully, breathing and walking freely.

Santiago, don't you have your own children to care for? Why are you so eager to leave the state of New Mexico? You were seen at the funeral in the same wrinkled suit you wore in court on Thursday - why? To get a glimpse of your job well done. Were you that desperate to cover your tracks that you had to shoot two unarmed people at the most vulnerable time of day for them 5 am on August 2, 2005, as Berna showered and John slept in his bed - what was your thought as she stepped out of the shower and faced you or as you wrestled with John - or are your protecting your romantic/financial involvement with their daughter. Did Renee pay you off with her millions? Answers are lacked and justice has failed these two hard working innocent victims. Where do we go from here? Santiago continue to hide behind the power you think your wife has she will move on eventually also probably to another murderer.

What a horrible display of injustice. I am disgusted!!!!

Judges and prosecutors, you're an embarrasment to the State of New Mexico. If anybody feels like committing a murder, rape, burglary or whatever, just for the hell of it,they can just come to New Mexico and kill, rape and everything else,to their heart's content. They won't be prosecuted. WAY-TO-GO,criminals,and more power to you,I guess.I know this is a stupid blog but we're learning from the best;New Mexico judge and prosecutors.

"Suspected Murder" with a great deal of evidence against him - thrown out on a technicality. Probably due to the influence his attorney wife may have in the legal system. Come on lets "get real"....a bullet casing is just as close as finding a smoking gun. APD dropped the ball wouldn't you say? Anyone for the victims here? Guess it is easy for you "Hildie" to walk the streets with these kind of people....maybe your one of them. Get your facts right. Lets review the evidence shall we..........

hmmmm interesting, hasnt a wrongful death lawsuit been filed against the daughter, ronald santiago, and his former employer? lets hope not all judges think the way judge murdoch does, or this too will be in vain.
how sad that it seems no one "has the time" because the city is too busy worrying about wether there should be cameras for stop lights, and they cant even get that to work efficiently, or wether we should use cell phones while driving, our own officers do that, because MOST of them think they are above the law, sounds like judge murdoch feels the same way. and now the law has given ronald santiago the same feeling, that he can get away with anything, including murder. you know what? there still is an afterlife and we will all be judged accordingly, including you ronald santiago, judge murdoch, and all who seem to think these murders meant nothing, and yes possibly you too renee. ask for your forgiveness now, because when judgement day comes and it hasnt been done, life will be hell, literally.

I think this is absolutely outrageous. I will vote NOT to retain this judge. I can't even begin to imagine in what parallel universe it is ok to let a murder suspect free to roam at will.
