Double homicide in Vacaville

Vacaville police are investigating a double homicide that occurred early this morning.

no reports have mentioned drugs being involved. Chuck, that rumor you heard is completely MORONIC! I know 2 of the 3 victims. the victims AND suspects were all friends, also. Richard Perez, 19, and Cameron Silva were both shot in the head and dead at the scene.. Sarah (Cameron's girlfriend) was shot in the face and found on the front porch. Ya, sounds like a threesome was going on with WHO'S wife? & they all must have been on drugs? All of you have a very sad, poor perception of other humans. Each of you who post, assuming that the victims were the scum of vacaville should be ashamed of yourselves. Let's not jump to conclusions and paint this murder to be a bunch of junkies that deserved this. These people were GOOD people, with good hearts. Let's let the police department and investigations figure out what really went down and WHY. The two men that were killed, Richard Perez and Cameron Silva. The woman, Sarah Jane, was shot in the face, and is expected to live. The suspect is Richard R. Calkins, 18.

Please pray for friends and family of the deceased and for a full recovery for Sarah. This is such a travesty!

Let's all hope that Vacaville PD steps their game up and that justice will be served!

I'm sorry but let's use our common sense here. It's very easy to speculate considering MOST LIKELY it wasn't some random home invasion that left 2 men dead from gunshot wounds. I mean, come on. They PROBABLY weren't hanging with the right crowd. Did they deserve to be killed? Probably not, however unless you were there "YOUAREIDIOTS" you can't say anything either.

Laura, I think that if you dislike Vacaville so much, you should probably remove yourself from such a horrible place. If you don't live here, then you have no room to talk. I've lived in Vacaville my entire life, and I love this town. It's pretty and it sure isn't some Oakland. Crime happens EVERYWHERE, some places more than others. I wouldn't call it a tourist attraction so I'm not sure why someone would visit unless they were visiting family but I plan on settling down here in the future and enjoying it.:-)

Vacaville is not a safe place at all. Even the Police Department now falls victim to breaking and entering and who knows what else it this killer's gun would have worked. A lot more police need to be hired to protect people in Vacaville.

The Police Department needs to get rid of all their glass doors/windows and make these areas out of concrete/steel doors. Their vehicles need to also be proected in an enclosed concrete/steel garage.

No one is safe in Vacaville.

Stop referring to these people as kids. They are all over the age of 18. They are adults, and I'm willing to bet a year's salary that drugs were involved.
