15 years? thats all? This county's prosecution and judges are weak morons with no respect for society. 15 years for murder is a freebie.
Without fear of punishment then there is no fear of committing the crime.
Its simply unjust.
Robberies can get you more time than this and noone gets killed, since when was a human life worth less than property?
It is a pity how this can occur.

Agree this is no sentence. A proper sentence would be hanging within 30 days of conviction

15 years for murdering 2 people who leave a gang? My God thats weak. They'll be out on parole in half or less. Pathetic.

Now I realize why we can't get rid of gang members. They know that if they commit murder in Monterey County, they will get a slap on the wrist! This county is really pathetic!!!! There are alot more cases like this, that I know of.

I think perhaps these cases should be taken out of local "prosecutors" hands Since gang bangers are domestic terrorists they should be prosecuted under terrorism laws On second thought with this current justice department they may receive even lighter sentences

Throw away the key!!! They should have gotten more time like 90 years for the death of another person. What's wrong with our judicial system? Better yet anyone committing a gang related death should be shot by firing squad!! They should have the worst shooters and let them bleed to death on the post!!

What they recieved as punishment is 5 to 7 years at a criminal college, San Quinten. As gang bangers they have no doubt completed their high schooling at county jail. They will soon be seeking their masters at Pellican Bay shortly after release.

Unfreaking real. Who the hell paid off the judge on this. Let's have the judge go to one of these parties, get stabbed MULTIPLE TIMES in the gut, then left to die, and see what his family thinks of a lousy 15/16 years. Geeeezus....is he kin to Donahue? Are we fasting for a better forward pass to the library? Give them LIFE WITH NO SIGHT OF SUNLIGHT...EVER

When can we get some National Guards posted at each of the sections of Salinas? I do not care at this point if we live in a Police State. I welcome it. Let's get rid of these absolute MORONS. Shoot them on sight for all I care. We do it in Afghanistan and Iraq.

what an atrocity: 15 years for killing another human? they should be locked up forever. or is it because they are killing mexicans that they think no one cares about them? take the bite out of justice and these people have no reason to change their ways.... shape up!

This for sure will encourage them not to drop out. If they would of gave them the chair maybe more people will drop out and start a new life but the way are system works. Is worth to drop out and have a member kill them knowing he will get reward by the gang and the system. This is their future, prison maybe 7 years total, get out now they are on the hit list and it doesn't pay that you have done something for them your dead next.
