The officer shouldn't have to go home and tell his ypung daughter that a bad guy tried to kill him and the dog AND that he killed the bad guy? Ummmm.... I have a problem with him feeling he has to share any of this with her. Maybe a bit about the dog and a "story" about getting the bad guy. But IMO, the rest is not need-to-know information for a young child!

I agree, if he testified in court saying that, it should not have been allowed. His daughter should not be a part of his work and sentencing for a criminal. He doesn't have to tell his kids and he doesn't have to be a cop. Is she getting the 31 years because she had a bad boyfriend? Here in elk Grove, ca we had a drunk cop a few years ago that drove over a kid, killed him and took off driving away and he spent about 6 months in jail.

Why did this woman 31+ years in prison? Yes, she was with the bad guy. Did she shoot at the police or the police dog.
Okay! She was an accessory and unless she had a very serious rap sheet, why did she get all of this time.
Didn't she just try to run away. I just don't get it! Maybe some time in jail to give her a chance to think about what she did, but 31+ years.

I agree, seems like the cop story of his hurt dog and that he was crying trying to explain to his little girl that the dog got hurt really got to the Judge. Seems a little harsh when we compare the sac city cop that was off duty and ran over a kid, killed him in Elk Grove, then drove away since he was drunk spent about 6 months behind bars and is out playing golf again with his elk grove cop buddies.
