Just a couple of questions and comments:
1. Why would any parent in their RIGHT mind allow
their child to own a gun ?
2. Why would ANY parent allow their child to keep
a gun in their home?
3. A 19 year old is NOT a child, I find it hard
to believe that at 19 years old he did not
have the common sense to know that GUNS are
4. I am appalled that this 19 year old is
portrayed as an "Accidental Shooter", this
scum shot Amanda in the temple..WAKE UP TEXAS
How does a person accidentally shot another
human being in the temple?
5. Manslaughter...$40,000 Bond....2 -20 in
Prison......Texas you have got to be
kidding...do you all live under rocks??
My thoughts, prayers, love and support go out to Amanda's parents Lenny and Christine Brown...
As for Bryan James Morris, I PRAY for the Death Penalty.

Just an Update---Bryan James Morris made a deal with the D.A pleading Guilty to an lesser charge obviously avoiding a harsher sentence.
---I personally wish that he would have gone to trial , if he would have tried to fight it he would have got what he deserved which is life---
...you say it was accident<?> if it was then nothing in the world would make you confess to killing MY FRIEND. you would spend your whole life trying to prove different! you've ruined many lives by playing god that night! not only did you take life but you've crushed everyone's who knew Amanda ! her family her friends Even her enemies !!!Seeing you in court that day -seeing the person who took Amanda out of my life ! Only God Knows My thoughts! i know what everyone wants to happen to you ,& I'm pretty sure you do too! but I'm going to let god handle you [GODS WRATH ROARS LOUDER THAN MINE]--GOD BLESS YOU BRYAN JAMES MORRIS!

First of all, I happened to attend Elementary, and Middle School with Bryan, and I don't remember this kid ever having a bad, or negative bone in his body. When I watched the news that night, and saw his mugshot, I was appalled at the thought of him even having the slight amount of hate it would take to execute that poor girl. My heart goes out to Amanda, and her family, and I hope God gives her a great place in his home of eternity. As for Bryan, I truly feel in my heart that it was an accident that falls on the stupidity of playing with guns.

Bryan, you will have your day with God eventually, and only you, him and Amanda knows what truly happened. I pray for you, and believe in your good heart.

Remember that God will forgive you if you truly ask of it in your heart. God Bless everyone affected by such a tremendous tragedy.

This is in accordance to all of the comments above. Yes most of you are right; only God, Amanda, and Bryan know what truly happened. Secondly, one can't help but to be mad at the person who took the life away from that person another loves so much regardless it was an accident or not because they are indeed gone forever.
And why anyone would be playing with a gun in front of their girlfriend? No one knows what really happened.
As to Bryan once being a good person, yes that might be true indeed, although you must admit that elementary is a long way to the age of 19. Sometimes people change drastically in a less amount of time than that. Some of the most quiet kids are in fact some of those who have caused the most chaos just in case you've never watched the news. But you never know.
And to the person saying they hope her parents live with that forever... and do you know why they did what they did? Do you know what the conversation they had with Amanda consisted of? Take into consideration that Amanda as well was a young adult who had a bf which her parents didn't approve of. Maybe they just had a feeling. Whatever their reason is, it was their house and their rules. Had they known this would've happened do you not think they would've stopped her. Point is, she was young and she also didn't want to be told what to do. I know a lot of parents who would say "While you're in my house, these are MY rules." So don't just make her's look bad because like another one on here said, it's life, and messed up things like this happen sometimes. Only God knows what goes on, and only God can judge the things people do whether it involves drinking or doing drugs so quit being so narrow-minded. Just stop already. If Bryan IS guilty, he will have that in his conscience for the rest of his life along with his attempt to cover up his lies. That, is an even worse punishment than jail. And if he's not, then only God knows what it is he should do with his life.
I love you Amanda... rest in peace my dear friend.

Once again, only god knows what truly happened, and everyone will have their day of judgement. There is no room for anyone to judge anyone here. The blasting of who knows what needs to stop. In the end, there is NOTHING that will change what happened, and Bryan, Amanda's loving friends, and her maybe not so innocent parents are going to live with this. I can't say I knew Bryan in his adult years, and I can't say I knew Amanda at all, but I DO know what it's like to have a teenage sister run away, and get mixed up with a bad crowd no matter what you tell her. I'm not saying this is what happened to Amanda, but I can try to be understanding of everyone's emotions. Whether you're pulling for Bryan, Amanda, both, her parents, and none of them, someone was killed, someone will be in prison, and a whole mess of people are going to live with this for the rest of their lives. I'm truly sorry about all of the pain all of you are going through. God WILL seek justice in this situation. I'm sure Amanda has already claimed a beautiful piece of heaven to call home.

God Bless all of you involved.

Bryan is my bestfriend only i kno wat really happen ..and long story short it was an accident ..He loved Amanda with all his heart and would have never hurt her. Nobody has ever changed Bryan like she did and Bryan has to live with the fact he took her life and it hurts him so much..Frankly they should have kept the charge to manslaughter cuz he sure isnt a murderer, maybe he would be out by now..IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!! I understand the agression toward Bryan from Amandas family and friends but please believe it was an accident and bryan has to live the rest of his life knowing he took his loves life..It hurts him so much and it hurts Amandas family so much nobody wins here.

Texans are idiots. GOD will not serve justice. GOD will not being Amanda back. GOD will not being Amanda’s family peace. If it was an accident, he is a careless idiot for “playing with” a loaded gun, none the less around a human being he supposedly cares for. 19 years old should be a fully functioning, capable adult, but again... Texas. This case is absolutely absurd to me. Blood splatter patterns and gun powder residue should be able to show trajectory as to where the gun was shot from, how close he was to her, etc. it’s obvious he did it on purpose and took the plea deal because that would be uncovered at trial. Good job Texas on freeing a murderer.
