Andrew James Vance was my best friend for many years. It is very hard for me to believe he would do something like that. Yes, he had a very rough life but he had a good heart. He was a very loyal friend, and very trustworthy. If this is in fact true, I hope he isn't handed the death penalty.

Dipak was a friend of the whole family, these guys who said they killed him and they got evidence against them to convict them should get the death penalty, they deserve it.

I don't know the story but somethings will never change about Castro Valley.

1. It is still in the Guiness World record for
most fast food restaurants in a square mile.

and

2. there have been and always will be tweekers in Castro Valley. Just hang out by the Quik STop by Lake Chabot.

Sorry to hear that someone else died (again). We are gone but still will visit from time to time.

I am an Uncle of Andrew Vance/Jackson,i went down to California last year with my family to go to Disneyland and tried to locate my nephew that i haven't seen in 20 plus year's,i wanted a chance to get to know him, then i do a search for him because i am going back to California next year and i find he is in prison for murder, well first off my prayer's and heart go out to the family of Dipak, but from what i read and hear is that it was an accident and there was no intent on killing Dipak,so why are you people hoping that Andrew get's the death penalty are you immoral people or just stupid. It truly Sadden's me to know i may never get another chance to meet my nephew outside of prison wall's.I am not trying to justify for what my Nephew did just trying to understand why people cannot see that this was an accident and im sure he will serve his time like a man for what he has done, but there is no need to say what some of you people are saying, their is already one life lost,if this world would learn to forgive as God has taught us this world would not be as broken as it is.All of us have made some really stupid choice's in life and paid for them just some of us make more stupider then other's,im sure Andrew regret's everyday of his life now for what he and this other guy did.and i don't even hear what happened to the other guy whole was involved.Once again my heart and prayer's go out to the family of Dipak. And my prayer's go out to you Andrew and i hope one day we get a chance.Take care and God Bless you Nephew.

Justin I understand "Dirty Drew" may of had a good heart but I also know for a fact he was into meth which is opening the door to the devil.
Your brother was simply not in his right mind and I'm sure he's kicking himself in the butt for the actions that he will live with the rest of his life.
I knew Deepak very well and he was someone that would do anything in the world to help even a stranger, he had so much love for people, friends and family and was so trusting of a person that its sad what happened and what his family has to deal with. Loosing someone so special in the world. The fact of the matter is your brother made a mistake and should get the death penalty or life.
Please don't be bitter and put yourself in Deuces shoes, he had so much going for him and so much to offer the world. I'm sorry for what happened to EVERYONE in this situation.
We ALL are still in pain! I pray for justice!

Deuce was No tweeker.. Knew him personally and he worked hard and gave so much. He helped our (white) family with buying groceries and cleaning. You have no idea who he was! Let God be the Judge.

Deepak Prasad was warning Drews Girl not to be with him and I believe he was murdered for 3 reasons. Anger, Racial Hate and to sell his Lexus (car) in which was in the process of being sold prior to capture of these evil men. Why don't they bring that up in court??????????

Murder is no accident. I have followed this case with precise measure and trying to sell his car after leaving the body of DEEPAK (at least get the mans name right) on the side of the road when in fact he was thrown off a cliff. And beaten so bad that he wasn't identifiable. Sorry but Andrew made some pretty big mistakes on top of his life changing mistake and yes he will be regretting them the rest of his life. Sorry to everyone involved. Including You and your family. He is forgiven but justice will still have its turn.

"Dirty Drew" just shows his character! Uncle Ron did you really stop to that level. This is a murder case there is no defending a murderer, no matter how bitter and mad you are. You make it clear of your anger, understand Andrew made a mistake and will be a man and face his punishment. Let him defend himself for Deepak cannot defend himself, obviously when Andrew cruelly beat and choked him to death. Those are the Facts.

They have forgiven BOTH men a long time ago!
Deepak came from an amazing special family that holds no anger or hate towards your cuisine and his friend. Yes Family and friends are all still hurt but We have gotten over the forgiveness part.
Everyone Forgive yourself, do not be angry and bitter for we all have loss now. Sorry to all. And forgiveness to all!

I woke up today remembering Dipak. He was so kind, he brought Joy into your life as soon as he arrived. Even though it was years ago, the encounters with him are fresh in my memory. The feelings, the thoughts, conversation, the weather and location I last saw him. Sometimes the best ones are stolen from us.
