Boynton Beach teen faces vehicular homicide charge

A teenager who police said led them on a winding chase through Boynton Beach that ended in a fiery crash and the death of a younger teen was arrested Monday.

The 17-year-old Boynton Beach resident was charged with vehicular homicide, driving without a license, fleeing and eluding and grand theft auto, according to an arrest affidavit from police.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel is not identifying her or her family because of her age.

Joshua Rahming Jr., of Greenacres, the passenger in the car, died Wednesday night at Delray Medical Center, police said. The 14-year-old was severely injured when the floorboard of the silver Toyota lurched up to the level of his seat, crushing his ankles, pelvis and back, according to police. Read more
