This is an outright falsehood, those MRAPS were given to the departments by DHS that ordered ~2800 of them to be built this year.

Do the research and next we'll be reading from the owned media that the billions of hollow point rounds the DHS hands out will also be surplus.

Sure, they never meant to order that many.

I'd keep a very skeptical eye on any law enforcement agencies that accept such paramilitary equipment as well as the soldiers that implement their use.
