A new crimefighting tool is so big that some might call it a tank. It's actually an MRAP.

from the article

"The vehicles are military surplus."

This is an outright falsehood, those MRAPS were given to the departments by DHS that ordered ~2800 of them to be built this year.

Do the research and next we'll be reading from the owned media that the billions of hollow point rounds the DHS hands out will also be surplus.

Sure, they never meant to order that many.

I'd keep a very skeptical eye on any law enforcement agencies that accept such paramilitary equipment as well as the soldiers that implement their use.

Don't think they're expecting the worse. Mobile response unit too? How many riots in Hendersonville every year. Crowd control is what they are after. Modeled after European countries.

you with the delete keys really don't want critically free thinking people openly discussing such matters.....

ok, consider this

http://preview.tinyurl.com/mccpv8a

and then ask, who really is paying for this since our nation has long since been bankrupt and borrowing each and every month to make up for the shortfall on the interest payment alone?

then ask, how many of these are already in this state pre-staged and for what purpose?

these aren't used up surplus, they are new
