Diane Feinstein, a woman that says we need to take guns as a government, but, has a concealed weapons permit herself.

Do as I say, not as I do. For I am nobility and you are a peasant.

That is it people, that is their philosophy right there. And those that support it treat these people as nobility thus giving them their power over you.

I still fail to see what all of the hubbub is about. Ever since the 30s assault weapons have been banned in this country.

Only those individuals with a special federal permit are allowed to own full auto assault weapons of any kind. These look a likes are NOT true assault weapons since they will only fire simi-auto and not full-auto. I own a hunting rifle that fires simi-auto and it is in no way an assault weapon. It looks like and operates like every other hunting rifle. Now if I wanted an assault weapon I'd have to go on base and check one out of the base armory along with 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

Now who are they talking about when they talk about banning asault weapons since civilians are unable to get any? Let's see. Our law enforcement officers have full auto assault weapons. Are they talking about keeping full auto assault weapons out of the hands of law enforcement officers.? They would not be such a bad idea but NO. how about our military personnel they have ready access to full auto assault weapons are they talking about keeping these satanic weapons out of the hands of our military personnel? I don't think so. So then who exactly are they trying to keep these most deadly weapons away from? Try criminals. Okay I'll buy that only problem. Criminals do not pay any attention to the laws and these laws WILL NOT stop any criminal from acquiring them.

Think about it for a minute. If our current laws are not effective in keeping assault weapons out of the hands of criminals what makes anyone believe any new bunch of laws and restriction will do the trick? Criminals operate outside the laws and are able to get their weapons from illegal sources. Look at Chicago where all gun ownership is strictly forbidden. They have the highest gun crime rate in the country. If it is illegal to own a gun in the city of Chicago then where are all of the guns coming from? it sure isn't any legal source that's for sure.

I snipped to be brief and I'll make this short.

An "assault weapon" is whatever Congress decides and they have already defined them, in 1994.

What you or I consider an assault weapon is not relevant.

I am not going to apologize for Obama like some of these others do, however, I just wanted to point out that the foundation for the increase in surveillance against American citizens stems from Bush's Patriot Act.

Yes it does but as with Halliburton, Afghanistan, the patriot act and inhanced intellegence all have been enlarged and or continued by Obama.........but we hear nothing as we did with Bush for 8 years. We see no protest or deaths on the front page of papers everyday, so if we appear a bit hard on Obama for his four years, remember we put up with worse for Bush's eight years.

Many assault weapons of all types are far more dangerous than semiautomatic defense rifles.

I will not support any politician nor political party that supports the Pat Act. I opposed the GOP when they passed it. I opposed bush when he signed it. I opposed Obama when he extended it, and when he further enshrined our loss of freedom with the NDAA.

Individaul states may though.

No I am not, but it does protect us, but we will never really know to what degree. Looking at the attempts of today's governments efforts to reduce our freedoms further, mainly the first, second and third amendments, I fear the worst and hope for the best until no other course of action is logical but to confront their actions head on.

That is not necessarily true. Just because a politician makes a claim DOES NOT make it so.

Actually, it is quite true.

Read the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act, was a subtitle of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. It most assuredly defines "assault weapons."

I belong to several legitimate 2nd Amendment defense organizations and maintain an on going communication with my Senator and Representative on the subject.
