(You R an Idiot) So I guess you knew about this law since it was passed. I'm so proud to know that you think we are all so stupid because you must be absolutely perfecttttttt! Hope you never have to eat your words either but you most probably will. So have a nice life and go tell someone else they are STUPID to there face and see what that gets you.
In answer to your question, no I haven't known about it since it was passed; as the "felony murder rule" has existed since about the 12th century, and as it exists now since about the 18th century. It isn't a new law.

Really, you folks should get out more. Read a few books or newspapers and quit watching reality television. It's rotting what is left of your brains.

(you r an idiot)
I know what the law is and I understand what it is about that does not mean I have to agree with it. I realize that Harley has been in alot of trouble, that does not mean he cannot change. Sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom to have a change of heart, mind and soul. So if I'm an idiot for believing in a higher power ,then that is fine. That also means you are calling Harley's grandma and her family idiots for believing and having faith in God for change in Harley's life. I have known them all of my life and I know that they believe that faith and prayer can change situations and people.

I do not think that we should ever give up hope or loose faith in someone just because they have made several bad choices in life. Like I said if that makes me an idiot its ok I would rather have a lttie compassion towards my fellow man than to be a hard hearted person. My prayers are with Harley and his family.

Your boy, Harley, has been responsible for the deaths of two people now. I think this worthless bastard has had enough chances. How many more need to die before you see him for what he is?

The rest of us have had enough, you continue to have compassion for him, and visit him in prison if you want, but the rest of society thinks he has had plenty of chances.

He's a thief, a drug addict/cooker, and drug seller, and now a murderer. I hope he rots in prison, because that is where he belongs.

Was Harley charged with/found guilty of the first death or are you just making accusations? How was Harley responsible for the first death? Just curious as to where/how you're getting your info.

Mr Knight (homeowner whom shot Steven) looks to be a "THIEF" himself. So he was protecting his own "STOLEN" property is what it sounds like to me. Very interesting to say the least...

So, two thieves show up at third thief's house....third thief shoots one of the two thieves and kills him...and the other one faces murder charges....

The Judge must have loved that turn of events. No wonder the bond on Harley was dropped from $500K to $25K...still concerned that family put up a property bond to get him out.(All Public Record)

Hope Harley doesn't run and leave his family holding the bag. I hear he already has gathered his old crowd around him again....party on DUDE!!!

Interesting... can you please explain in detail?
Barbie:

I think you are absolutely right about the way things happened. Furthermore, you stated that you know things that others do not. The things you know may very well help in this case since I am helping the defense attorney unravel this mess. It appears that Knight has issues at least others think he does. Please respond and include a direct email address or telephone number and i will certainly respond to your interest. You are brave to take the position you have, albeit, I would like to hear from you regarding this case. Thanking you in advance.

It seems that a lot of weight is levied against two victims here. First, Mr. Baker is deceased and his family may very well seek civil damages in a wrongful action. Secondly, Mr. Eschbach is charged with second degree murder for apparently being with Mr. Baker and Mr. McCarty. While there are those who are eager to wage war against the survivor of this tragedy, it appear to me that more attention should be given to Mr. Knight. Mr. Knight did not arise at 3:30 in the morning for breakfast, instead, he knew that there was the likelihood that someone was going to appear at his property because he purportedly had a contested argument with one of his alleged employees and expected to his employee to return. Think about it. This was a 'setup" its just that simple.

Seriously, BURJ, don't you think you should just post a private email and leave it at that? I mean if you truly are helping Harley's attorney you should know better than to post your opinions on here. You need to ask for help from the public and leave either an email or a phone number for people to contact you and leave it at that. I don't know who you are but I'd lay money you are not who you say.

I have to agree with My 2 cents. Burj to me doesn't sound very professional.

As far as me posting my email etc... I don't know of many people (including myself) that would be willing to post personal info on a public forum such as this one.

To Burj... I don't believe I ever said "I know things that others don't".

The post below is how I learned that Mr Knight was involved in another incident.

Friend wrote:
They boys didn't seal anything. Nothing was broke into. They were in the truck and the old man was apparently not in his right mind. He shot at these boys and not shots were ever fired at him and no one even tried to hurt the old man. The man had some prior run-ins years ago with some people and was hurt and this time was trying to obviously make sure he didn't get hurt again. But I can tell you it was more than 4 shots. No one will really ever know the true story but it is a sad situation for all parties involved. Bad choices made, yes, guilty of stealing... absolutely not. Wrong place, wrong time. I respect all families involved and will not dog Steven, Harley or the parents or a town for how people act. No one is held accountable for things except the person that has commited the act. Steven just turned 22 a few days before this - he was a loving, respectable person and not a thief of any sort - not now and not ever. His parents and family are good loving people as well. I know that these are opinions only and I know some of you don't know anyone involved but any way we look at it- it is sad deal. I know the whole story and it's not how the paper reported it which is why Skiatook and Tulsa papers didn't report it. Nothing is exactly confirmed and the investigation is still open. We need prayers for everyone involved. If just for once you could put your self in this families shoes do it and just think about how you would react. No one in life is perfect and even though we sometimes think we are - we really are not. We have all done things of some sort that wasn't right and they may be minor things but they still weren't right. I am just praying that God can touch the friends and family as we struggle through this difficult time.

Unless the law has changed I was under the impression the "Make My Day Law" was to cover someone forcing their way into your home (IE:Castle law) dwelling. Unfortunately a garage, attached or not isn't normally considered a dwelling or living quarters. In my openion, I feel the laws should be changed to accomodate anyone entering another's property and caught defiling in any way what belongs to someone else should be considered fair game. After a few incidents of this nature the wouldbe thieves might spend a little more time weighing the gains Vs. the risk. If you are old enough to steal or point a firearm you are old enough to be held accountable.
