Jefferson County homicides jumped 28 percent in 2012
Homicides in Jefferson County soared 28 percent in 2012, claiming 69 victims through Sunday -- the first increase since 2007 and a grim reflection of a violent span that saw a high-profile triple shooting in May and three deaths around the Christmas holiday.

this is life, there is no magical solution that will stop violence forever, its a part of life. However you can take steps to protect you and your family if it were ever to happen to you. Such as buy a gun. Why do people live in such a fantasy world that think, we can get rid of violence, poverty, and hunger.....its just how it is, grow up.
